Dr. Simon Sipen Wing
Dr. Simon Wing obtained his MD degree from McGill
University in 1981. Following residency training in internal medicine
and endocrinology and metabolism at McGill University, he completed
postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and at the National
Research Council of Canada Biotechnology Research Institute. In
1993, he joined the professorial staff in the Dept. of Medicine
at McGill University, the clinical staff in the Division of Endocrinology
and Metabolism at the Royal Victoria Hospital, as well as the research
staff at the McGill University Health Centre Research Institute.
He has received a Clinician Scientist Award from the Medical Research
Council of Canada as well as the Chercheur National Award from the
Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec as well as
membership in the American Society for Clinical Investigation. He
is presently director of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism
in the Dept. of Medicine at the McGill University Health Centre.
